Dragon Kingdom, Gardens of the World and more: Discover what’s new at Global Village 2025
Dubai’s favourite family destination adds new attractions, themed zones and revamped areas
DUBAI – Dubai’s most anticipated seasonal attraction, Global Village, is set to reopen on October 15 for its milestone 30th season, promising a spectacular lineup of new attractions, immersive zones, and upgraded entertainment spaces.
After drawing a record-breaking 10.5 million visitors last year, the open-air destination is preparing to deliver an even more thrilling experience for 2025.
What’s new this season?
Among this year’s headline additions is The Dragon Kingdom, an immersive walk-through adventure designed to transport visitors into a mythical realm. Set in Blackstone Hollow, the attraction features 11 themed rooms where guests can help Ignis, the last dragon, regain his powers by solving puzzles and uncovering clues. The blend of storytelling, mystery, and interactive gameplay makes it a must-see for families and thrill-seekers alike.
For those who prefer something serene, Gardens of the World debuts as a lush, landscaped space located between the Egypt and Iran pavilions. Filled with exotic floral arrangements and miniature landmarks from across the globe, it’s ideal for relaxed strolls, family photos, and a dose of tranquillity amid the excitement of the park.
Digital upgrades
Global Village has introduced several digital upgrades to make navigating the vast park easier. New Way Finding screens will guide guests through the 27 pavilions, while S30 Passports and stamping stations at each pavilion offer an engaging collectible activity that encourages exploration.
Families with young children can also look forward to The Little Wonderers at Carnaval, an indoor play zone set to open later in the season. It features multi-level obstacle courses, climbing structures, tunnels, ball pits, and glowing slides – all wrapped in a vibrant neon theme.
The park’s Main Stage, one of its most popular entertainment hubs, has been completely reimagined with increased capacity, new seating, and upgraded production for even bigger live shows and cultural performances. Visitors can also expect smoother entry with revamped ticket counter screens and new LED directional signage across the venue.
Global Village’s Dragon Lake, home to the Guinness World Record-holding underwater screen, is being upgraded with a brand-new display offering sharper visuals. The dragon centerpiece is also getting an enhancement – new fire effects that will light up the night sky during shows.
Visitors will notice fresh architectural touches at the entrances too, with redesigned arches greeting guests at both the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi gates. The Sharjah Tunnel is being re-themed in dazzling colours and immersive visuals to create a more striking entryway. Landscaping throughout the park has also been refreshed for the new season.
Where to eat and explore?
Food lovers will find even more to savour this year. Fiesta Street is expanding, joining over 200 dining outlets already across Global Village. The Railway Market has been reborn as Dessert District, a modern yet nostalgic destination perfect for sweet treats and photo ops. The Indian Chaat Bazaar is also unveiling a new look and flavour experience.
Road of Asia returns under its new name Asia Boulevard, highlighting the region’s vibrant cultures and cuisines, while Happiness Street gets a bright new canopy for added flair.
